Donate to Katie’s Way

FINDING HOPE. ELIMINATING THE STIGMA.

Why Donate?

Providing mental and behavioral health services to ages 2-26, Katie’s Way was developed to overcome barriers by providing:

  • A non-institutional setting to overcome the stigma associated with an institutional model

  • Team-Based Care – psychiatry, psychology, and therapy professionals all working together at one location

Since opening, we have seen a great increase in those who have sought services at Katie’s Way. This includes outpatient therapy & psychiatry services, as well as Autism & ADHD testing.

Approximately 1 in 5 youth aged 13-18 (21.4%) experiences a severe mental disorder at some point during their life. For children aged 8-15, the estimate is 13%.

Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S., the 3rd leading cause of death for people aged 10–14 and the 2nd leading cause of death for people aged 15–24.

A FAMILY’S VISION

The Mathis family established Katie’s Way to provide services that promote children’s social-emotional development, prevent development of mental health challenges, and address social-emotional problems that currently exist. We do this by using evidence-based strategies as well as innovative therapy programs that specialize in serving children and young adults.

OUR MISSION
