Rachel Kaufman, PHD.

Psychologist
Dr. Rachel Kaufman is a Licensed Psychologist and has been on staff at Katie’s Way since August 2016. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Kaufman completed an APA-accredited internship at Boys Town within the Nebraska Consortium of Professional Psychology. She completed a fellowship in child and pediatric psychology at the Boys Town Behavioral Health Clinic. She has worked in outpatient clinics, pediatric clinics, schools, and inpatient settings to provide therapy and psychological testing primarily with a youth population. Dr. Kaufman has experience utilizing evidence-based treatments recommended for a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns across children and adolescents. Specifically, she focuses on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and behavioral interventions with young children, parents, teenagers, and young adults. Dr. Kaufman’s specializations include treating anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, stress-related disorders, and eating disorders within adolescents.
Since joining Katie’s Way, Dr. Kaufman has developed the DBT Skills Group for Teenagers and she serves as the coordinator and facilitator for this group. Dr. Kaufman also currently serves as the Disruptive Behavior Assessment Leader in which she conducts psychological testing primarily surrounding attention-deficit and impulse-control disorders.
